Spring and Easter in Marbella

Spring and Easter in Marbella on the Costa del Sol are among the best times to visit this little piece of paradise in southern Spain.

As the temperatures start to rise, without the summer crowds clogging up the roads and packing the beach bars, spring is a magical time to make the most of the coast.

With Easter 2020 falling on April 12th in 2020, why not stay in a luxury Marbella event villa with the family and travel to Malaga to see the stunning Easter processions? This brightly coloured and emotive celebration of Spain’s culture and religion includes a week of lavish and ornate processions through the streets of Malaga during the week before Easter.

The Holy Week period is unlike anything else. The unmistakable smell of incense, and the breath-taking processions make this one of the most beautiful, inspiring, and moving traditions that can be experienced anywhere in the world.

Aside from the processions, spring is a time when the Costa del Sol comes back to life after winter, the golf courses attract plenty of visitors to sunnier climes and the beach bars re-open. Enjoy fresh seafood, a jug of sangria or two and live music at one of the many chiringuitos, just metres from the sea.

Spring is also a perfect time to book a wedding in Spain, a group booking in a luxury Marbella villa or a corporate event stay on the Costa del Sol.

Take your time to explore Marbella, sampling the delicious tapas in and around the Old Town, tripping the light fantastic in one of the Puerto Banus clubs or fine dining on the beach at Nikki Beach in Elviria, Marbella.

Marbella’s Old Town is not all about centuries-old buildings and quaint, narrow streets. It is also home to one of southern Spain’s most chic shopping scenes, boasting as it does an array of classy boutiques. These make for some great window shopping and, if you’ve a flexible budget, provide plenty of opportunity to treat yourself to something new.

If you decide to visit without the kids, spring is a great time to explore this diverse coast and with average temperatures from mid-April to mid-May, around 22ºC you will see plenty of sunshine.

The beauty of Marbella is that you can find a wide choice of amazing attractions within the town itself and nearby, without having to travel far from your luxury Marbella event villa.

Cabopino beach is another favourite Marbella spot, situated just a 15-minute drive east of Marbella and boasting a marina, several excellent restaurants and beach bars at the water’s edge. You can also book water sports from here and make the most of the long, sandy beach which is great for swimmers.

Famous with film producers and videographers looking for a perfect location, Marbella offers a wealth of stunning locations to swim, soak up the sun or promote luxury products.

Whether you are looking for a luxury Marbella villa with infinity pool, corporate event accommodation or an amazing place to celebrate a special birthday, Marbella really does have it all!
