The best things to do in summer in Marbella

With temperatures soaring and the beach clubs gearing up for another busy season, we take a look at some of the best things to do in summer in Marbella.

If you are lucky enough to be renting a luxury Marbella event villa or looking to book a Marbella wedding villa, you will find a vast range of attractions nearby.

The beaches are cleaned, the chiringuitos are open, details of live events are broadcast, and the whole town seems to come alive. Thousands of well-heeled visitors flock to Marbella in summer to enjoy everything this vibrant town has to offer.

Nikki Beach, which is situated at the Don Carlos Hotel, Elviria is one of the more famous beach clubs in Marbella, and offers visitors a host of luxurious facilities. Situated just 15 minutes from Marbella centre, Nikki Beach is the perfect place to relax during the daytime. White mattresses and sun-beds are placed around the beach area, and cocktails, champagne and cool drinks are served throughout the day.

Lunch can be taken on the bar terrace or the beach, and Nikki offers one of the best buffets in the area featuring fresh fish and seafood, delicious meat dishes, sushi and a choice of sumptuous salads.

As the afternoon drifts by, the resident DJ plays a fantastic mix of house and dance music to keep guests entertained. When the sun sets the beach club is transformed into one of the best night time party venues in Marbella. Champagne flows until the early hours, and if you have the energy, why not spend all day and night at this prestigious beach club?

Not quite on the scale of Puerto Banus but just as impressive in its own way, Puerto Cabopino, just east of Marbella offers a long, protected, sandy beach, a choice of amazing water-front bars and restaurants, water sports and boat trips. A great place to relax and watch the world go by.

If you want to do more than eat, drink and sunbathe during your holiday on the Costa del Sol in summer, why not book a few rounds of golf? Cabopino boasts a challenging 18-hole course, while the challenging Santa Clara is just a 10-minute drive from Marbella.

If you are looking to play different courses during your holiday, Nueva Andalucia, known as Golf Valley, is just 1km from Puerto Banus and boasts 5 courses: Aloha, Dama de Noche (floodlit 9-hole course), Las Brisas, Los Naranjos and La Quinta Golf.

No visit to a luxury Marbella event villa would be complete without checking out the legendary nightlife in Puerto Banus. Dance ‘til dawn, see how the other half live – cruising around the port in their Ferraris and dine at award-winning restaurants overlooking the luxurious yachts in the marina.

Summer is one of the best times to visit Marbella, and whether you are planning to stay for a long holiday or a luxury break in the sunshine, you will find plenty of things to see and do within easy reach of the town.
